Macedonia2025 and Men & Mountain (MAM) Sign MoU to Drive EnvironmentalSustainability and Corporate Responsibility in Macedonia

News

We are excited to announce that Macedonia2025 and Men & Mountain (MAM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen efforts in environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility, with a primary focus on supporting GENERALKA WEEKEND 2026 and the broader ZELENA SONCHEVA project. This strategic partnership unites key stakeholders to create a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous Macedonia, while actively engaging the local and global community in preserving the nation’s natural heritage. Generalka Weekend is the largest and most powerful grassroots environmental initiative in the country, connecting institutions, citizens, youth, companies, and the media in a shared mission for a cleaner, healthier, and greener Macedonia. By joining forces with Generalka Weekend and Sonceva Gora, we are supporting the green story, which is transforming into a movement that extends from local actions to a national strategy, and from symbolism to systemic change. Through this partnership, we are more determined than ever to advance a sustainable future, beginning with GENERALKA WEEKEND 2026, and extending through to our long-term goals for 2031. Together, we will foster the following key objectives:

  1. Promote ecological sustainability – Building a cleaner environment as a foundation for attracting investments and retaining human capital in Macedonia.
  2. Encourage corporate responsibility – Motivating businesses to actively participate in environmental initiatives, contributing to the development of a green economy.
  3. Strengthen diaspora engagement – Involving the Macedonian diaspora to support reforestation projects and conservation efforts in our homeland.

As we move forward, the significance of this partnership extends and it is a call to action for companies, organizations, and individuals to come together and contribute to creating lasting change.

This partnership marks a major milestone in our collective journey toward building a sustainable Macedonia. We are confident that, with the support of our partners and the Macedonian people, we will see substantial progress toward a greener, healthier, and more prosperous future.
