“The Power of Public Speaking and Body Language” – A Skills Development Workshop for ABF Scholars

On April 15, 2025, a practical and inspiring workshop titled “The Power of Public Speaking and Body Language” was held at Mladi Hub, Skopje, organized for the scholars of the Atanas Bliznakoff Program by Macedonia2025.

The interactive session was led by Anastasija Ilievska – journalist, editor, and certified trainer in communication skills – who brought the topic to life for all participants through practical examples and hands-on engagement. 20 young scholarsattended the event and actively participated in the session.

The aim of the workshop was to encourage young people to speak confidently, authentically, and with a clear message. By introducing the 3A formula – Authenticity, Awareness, and Action, participants learned the foundations of effective communication. Special attention was also given to nonverbal communication – including tone of voice, posture, micro-expressions, gestures, leg positioning, and clothing choices – all elements that strongly influence the audience’s perception of a speaker.

The workshop fully achieved its mission: to equip young leaders with practical communication tools that will help them stand out in academic, professional, and personal development. For those unable to attend, the session was fully documented and will soon be available on Macedonia2025’s social media channels.

This event marks an important step in the program’s ongoing commitment to investing in youth – preparing them to present their ideas, knowledge, and values loudly, clearly, and confidently.
