Invest in Macedonia

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Many international companies have decided to locate their production in Macedonia. These foreign investments have created thousands of jobs by directly employing people, but also by providing opportunities for domestic suppliers. And although this is excellent news for Macedonia, the country needs more investments, especially in the area of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which are the backbone of every economy.

Macedonians in the Diaspora are in a unique position to invest or to support the starting of new enterprises. There are many people from Macedonia who have become successful business owners and professionals in the countries where they live. What if for these people the time has come for a new challenge? Why not make Macedonia the place to invest?

We are happy to say that besides the big companies there are also Small and Medium Enterprises that have invested in Macedonia, who are foreigners who have no cultural or ethnic connection to Macedonia. We are delighted that they have seen opportunities in the country and we hope that these will be yet another reason why people in the Diaspora should come here to invest.

Cofounder of Macedonia2025

To sustain the country that represents our culture and to help it realize its potentials, Macedonia needs all the help and care that Macedonians around the world can give it. There are enough people to make a true difference and now is a crucial time to aim for serious achievements.

Our organization is focused on business and education because we believe that these are the forces that drive development. Our focus is business, not politics and our goal is the well being of all the people in the country. Macedonia has the potential to develop in the most positive ways and make us all proud for being Macedonian, regardless where we are located in the globalized world of today.

There are estimates that the money that the diaspora sends to Macedonia, accounts for almost 30 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product. This money is sent by mostly first generation emmigrants in West Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Second and third generation immigrants, those who left their towns and villages many decades ago, oftentimes have very few relatives in Macedonia. But that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t explore investment opportunities there! The progress of Macedonia should be a high mark on our list of personal achievements.

Macedonia2025 wants to encourage everyone to do their part. You can donate to our cause or you can get in touch and find out about the ways you can help. I want to remind everyone that 100% of all donations go to our educational programs!
